This cosy campsite lays nestled by the Storfjord lake, in the middle between Leknes and Stamsund. The strategic placement among mountains makes this place experience less wind than the weather would indicate in most cases.
Here in Storfjord, we are lucky to have a shallow enough lake to sometimes experience comfortable swimming temperatures during warm summer weather! This will never happen in the sea, no matter how nice the weather is. I can assure you that.
We have a small sandy beach for swimming, as well as several small rowing boats you can borrow for free! Maybe you want to attempt your fishing luck? We also have a sauna, and a hot tub down by the lake, and a large service building with a common room, kitchen, toilets etc. available to all guests.
We’re a family business, owned by father and daughter, who took over the campsite a few years back. The camp itself, however, dates all the way back to the sixties. This gives the place a history and certain charm, but it also means that we never run out of renovation work. Our most recent improvements on the camp include adding the sauna and creating a sand beach!
